About Signature Dance Studios
Signature Dance Studios is based in an exciting conversion of a classic building in the Kingswood area. New visitors are always welcome and we will be happy to show you around.
We offer children the opportunity to take examinations in ISTD Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz.
They also have the chance to compete in Local Eisteddfods and be involved in the schools shows and displays.
Signature Dance Studios is also the home of Shalayleigh Irish Dance. This is an Irish Dance Troupe who have performed at many different events around the country. They are available to hire for many types of functions.
Facilities
All our dance studios are bright, clean and safe with professional sprung floors. They are spacious and airy with mirrors and Ballet barres. We also have changing rooms and toilets. There is a variety of different sized rooms that have multi-purpose uses and are available for hire.
Teachers
All our dance teachers are CRB checked and there is always a fully qualified first aider on site.

Kerri O'Mahony

Kerri O'MahonyI started Ballet and Tap at the age of 3 years and these were later accompanied by Irish, Modern and Jazz. I started assisting with dance lessons at my dance school at the age of 14, which was when I realised teaching was what I wanted to do. I have competed in many competitions and Feis in England and Ireland, and went onto dance at the All England Finals in Saddlers Wells.
Over the years I have appeared in many dance shows and Pantomimes including the Bristol Youth Ballet and continue to enjoy dancing with an Irish dance troupe.
After leaving school I went onto Bristol College of Dancing to complete my Exams in my dance training and gain my F.D.I and C.D.E teaching Qualifications. Here I got to experience many different styles of dancing and a chance to choreograph for their shows.
I have gone onto to teach and choreograph for schools in Cheltenham, Weston, Cheddar, Stapleton and Downend, where I have entered many children for exams and competitions.
I started up my own classes in 2006 and was delighted to bring them over to my own studios in 2010.
I am enjoying watching the studios grow from strength to strength.
Charlotte Baldwin

Charlotte BaldwinI started Tap when I was 4 at a local dance school, shortly followed by Modern and then Ballet. At the age of 5, I started to take part in local Eisteddfods doing solos, duets, group dances and shows for the school. Whilst attending my dance school I took my examinations in the 3 genres, and also completed my Jazz awards.
When I left school I went to Bristol College of Dancing to gain my teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap and Modern, in which I have taken and passed my FDI’s in each genre and working towards the higher level of DDE. While I have been at college I have participated in many of their annual shows.
Throughout my time at college I carried out maternity cover in Wales which began to give me valuable teaching experience. I have also covered many lessons for my old dance teachers, and currently teach for a dance school in Wells.
I am looking forward to teaching at Signature dance studios.
Miss Florrie
I started my dance training at Signature Dance Studios in 2009, shortly before my third birthday.
Over the years, I have studied ballet, tap, Irish and modern dance with Miss Kerri and Miss Charlotte. I thoroughly enjoyed competing for more than 10 years in solo, duet, trio and group categories, and was very proud to make it to the All England Dance regional and national finals in 2022.
I now study full time at Bath Dance College, and I’m looking forward to continuing to study and teach dance in the future.
Miss Hollie
I started dancing at Signature Dance Studios when I was only 5 years old, where I first started my ballet training. Over the years, I have gone on to train in Tap, Modern and Irish dance as well.
From 6 years old, I began competing at local eisteddfods, which progressed into 12 years of participating in competitions with solos, duets, trios and groups. I also qualified for the All England Regional Finals multiple times, winning my National Solo category at regionals in 2022. This meant I also participated in the All England National Finals.
At the age of 13, I began to assist dance lessons, which is when I realised I would love to teach.
I am now studying for my DDE (Level 4 Diploma in Dance Education) under ISTD, which I have been working on for a couple of years. I am also studying for my Sociology degree at University of Bristol, which I hope will aid my teaching career.
I’m looking forward to progressing my career in dance teaching, especially with Signature Dance Studios.
